Hit a champion, and his minions hit you.
« Such loyal little minions! Hit their champion in the middle of them and the whole squad turns on you. Wait until he strays from his wave. »
- His minions defend him
You hit him right next to his wave: his minions switch to you. Early on, their damage adds up fast.
- Step out, drop the aggro
You step out of their reach: they drop you. Meanwhile, your wave thins his out.
- Small wave, cheap trade
His wave is down to one minion: you trade again, with only one minion on you. This time, the trade is yours.
- The classic mistake
You trade in the middle of his big wave: every minion switches to you. Even hitting him harder, you lose the trade.
When to do it
- Before every trade: count his minions. The more there are, the more the trade costs you.
- His wave is small: few minions to switch to you, the trade is cheap.
- He steps away from his wave: out there, you trade with him alone.
How to keep it
- Hit, then step out of their reach: minions that can't reach you drop you.
- Trade from outside his wave, never from the middle of it.
- Let your wave thin his out first, then trade.
The tip for your rank
Before you hit him, look at his minions: if there are a lot of them around him, wait.
Hit, step back, hit again: each time you step out, the minions drop you, and you trade without taking their damage.
Pick your trades by the waves: go in when his wave is small and yours is big, and he's the one taking minion damage if he answers.
