Choosing your target
The most valuable enemy you can hit safely.

« Forget the tank shrugging off your hits when their carry is in reach. Hit what you can reach safely, and let go of anything running out of range. »
- The closest first
Front to back: you hit the closest enemy in your range, their tank, while your frontline holds.
- Their carry in range: switch
Their carry walks into your range to hit you: you switch to them at once. The most valuable target, and it goes down.
- Out of reach: let it go
Their tank backs out of your range, low. You don't chase: you take the next enemy that comes in reach.
- The classic mistake
You chase their fleeing tank past your frontline, into their team. They all hit you: you die, and it gets away.
When to do it
- You're a ranged carry: front to back. You hit what's closest, and switch as soon as better comes in range.
- You're an assassin: your targets are their carries. You wait until they're reachable, not the tank.
- Their carry hits you freely: stop hitting the tank if you can reach the carry; if you can't, back out of their range.
How to keep it
- Look before the fight: who's fragile, who deals the damage, who's the tank.
- Switch as soon as it's worth it: a carry walking into your range is worth more than the tank in front of you.
- Let go of what leaves your range: take the next one in reach instead of chasing.
The tip for your rank
Hit the enemy closest to you, and don't chase anyone past your own tanks.
Watch for their carry stepping into your range: that's the moment to switch. The first one down often decides the fight.
Pick the target with your team before the fight: everyone on the same one, and it dies before it can act.
