Placing your wards
Light up his way before he walks it.

« Your trinket in your pocket is a lantern nobody switched on. Plant it where their jungler will come from, and change bushes now and then. »
- Ward before he comes
Your trinket goes in the river bush, on the way their jungler takes to reach your lane. Then you go back to farming.
- He walks into the light
Their jungler comes down the river toward you. Your ward shows him while he's still far away.
- The gank is off
You back off in time. He has been seen, there's nobody left to catch: he turns back.
- Replace it when it runs out
Your ward only lasts a while, and the area goes dark again. Your trinket has recharged in the meantime: a new ward.
- The classic mistake
Your trinket stays in your pocket. You only ward when he's already in the bush: you see him, but too late.
When to do it
- Your lane is pushed toward them: you're far from your tower, a ward on his way keeps you safe.
- Your trinket is ready: a charge in your pocket lights nothing. Use it.
- Your last ward has run out: the area is dark again, replace it.
How to keep it
- Ward where he comes from: the river bushes, the bushes by your lane on the river side.
- Ward before he arrives, while the area is still safe to walk into.
- Change spots now and then: a ward always in the same bush gets found and cleared.
The tip for your rank
Never keep your trinket in your pocket: as soon as it's ready, put it in the river bush by your lane.
Think about his path: ward a little further up the way he'll come, so you see him early enough to back off calmly.
Time your wards with your wave: ward before you push up, so you can stay forward and keep the pressure without fearing the gank.
