Objective timers

Knowing when the next dragon is up, and being ready.

From Silver
Professor Zéphyrinthe Academy's instructor

« Eureka, the dragon keeps a timetable! Note when one falls, add five minutes, and be at the pit a minute early, not on the dot. »

  1. Note the time

A dragon falls at 12:40. The next one comes back five minutes later, at 17:40. Note it.

  2. A minute before: push

About a minute before, push your waves toward them: nothing is lost while you're at the pit.

  3. Back, then vision

A back to spend your gold, then wards around the pit and the team gathered next to it, before it's up.

  4. On time, together

The dragon comes back: four of you are already there, with vision. It's yours without a fight.

  5. The classic mistake

A late back, then everyone walks to the pit on the timer, one by one. They're there with five and vision: you arrive to lose it.

When to do it

  • A dragon was just taken, by either team: add five minutes, that's the next one.
  • About a minute before: waves pushed, back done, so you can leave without losing anything.
  • Just before it's up: vision around the pit, and the whole team next to it.

How to keep it

  • Share the time: write it in chat, so the whole team plays around it.
  • Back early, not late: arriving on time and full beats one more item and walking in alone.
  • Walk in together: the first one who shows up alone is the first one caught.
The classic mistakeShowing up at the pit right on the timer, after a late back, one by one. They're already there with vision, and pick you off as you arrive.
Good to knowBeing ready early doesn't mean you must take it: if they're set up and you're not, letting it go and taking something elsewhere is often better.

The tip for your rank

Iron to Silver

When a dragon falls, look at the game clock and add five minutes. Write it in chat: your team will thank you.

Gold to Emerald

A minute before, push your wave and back if you need to: you walk to the pit full, with the others, not alone at the last second.

Diamond and above

The team that sets up first picks the fight: its vision around the pit, its waves pushed, the other team has to come to it.
